ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

According to the government's EIA Regulation, after an EIA study is completed for a particular project, environmental monitoring must be conducted during the construction and operational phases of that project.  Environmental monitoring is conducted to control whether or not suggestions in the EIA are implemented or not.  According to Turkish law, periodic reports on the particular project's environmental monitoring must be provided to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry

CINAR is an expert in the field of Environmental Monitoring Services.  CINAR has participated in many projects requiring environmental monitoring services, including the BOTAS/Baku-Tiflis-Ceyhan (BTC) Crude Oil Pipeline Project.   The BTC Crude Oil Pipeline construction environmental monitoring services project was the largest environmental monitoring services project ever in Turkey and it was completed successfully by Cinar Engineering during a four year period.

Within the scope of the BTC project, the following items were successfully executed; environmental monitoring of site construction works, site surveys for various subjects such as fauna-flora, biological diversity research, environmental assessment, management plan, hydro geological assessment and report preparation studies, water and wastewater sampling and analysis, water quality monitoring, solid and hazardous waste management system, site surveys, soil sampling, noise measurements, regular long term air quality monitoring of Adana-Ceyhan Marine Terminal (CMT), soil and plant management, erosion control, landscape plan preparation for BTC Pipeline Route, bio restoration, reinstatement and various project preparation studies, report preparation for above stated subjects, reviewing of final EIA Report, environmental management plans of the project, daily, weekly and monthly progress report preparation and submission, etc.
